Those are some good looking holders and think I may order one. Had to laugh as I was looking on ebay last night at a clock auction I am watching closely. So decided to type in a search for that bergeon movement holder. Yep they have them but can’t believe they are actually $10 and up higher plus shipping on top of that than at Esslinger. Was just curious and just thought it was funny because normally it is most times the other way around.

November 16, 2014 at 12:11 pm #60514I’ve got one like Bernie’s and it works well for me. I’m also leaning towards making one like the Meyer’s #58 movement holder. I just think it’s pretty cool.

I have many different types – none of which I really like. However, the cups seem to work pretty well for me. David Pierce once told me that a jeweler’s engraving ball was the best one he’d found as you can adjust the movement in all sorts of pitch/yaw arrangements. They are pricey though. 😯
Thanks!
