Hour Wheel Spring (or Springs?)…

Hi Guys,

I have two springs – a large and a small – but I’m not sure if the hour wheel got two versus the minute wheel getting one and the hour wheel getting one…What say you?

Very good, Chris, thank you. That was my sense – it came off unbeknownst to me, so I wondered about the double-up on the hour wheel. That is what I will do. No spring for minute wheel.

Oh, ok Randy, I never thought of that…in that case, I should maybe replace with just one ? HEY! if I do that, I’ll have a spring in stock!!!!

Could be that’s what happened to the previous watchmaker,..or, he / she replaced the dial, and because of the difference in the way the dial fitted up the hour pipe kept creeping up and not meshing,..so two were used.
No harm in having two actually,..just not normally needed.
