I guess I have forgotten when replacing a staff I found I can buy the staffs but one says pivot 11, another says pivot 12, 13, 14. I am guessing it means the size of the pivot. So had better not buy till I find out the pivot size. Thanks.

        Hi Bernie,
Yes that’s correct. Many times there will be options for different pivot sizes. Good to know which you need but if ever in doubt can always go with the larger pivot size since it can be fitted to the hole jewel by reducing to the desired size if needed.

        Adios for now,
        Bob

          Bernie, Bob,
I believe that friction jewels are sized using the same two digit designation. If it is the first digit is 1/10th of a millimeter and the second digit is 1/100th of a millimeter so stands for .11 millimeters.

Thanks Bob and David. That is what I was thinking.
