This course is good but…..

THIS course is good but it does not contain any thing about QUARTZ Watches and clocks. Most people in EGYPT use QUARTZ watches and clocks. could you tell me about good quartz courses like this . Thank you.

Hi Mootaz,
I’m not sure if there’s anything out there as far as a quartz course goes. I know that there were a couple of books that came out quite a few years ago that were somewhat helpful but not sure about a video course.
Here are a few but as I said they were written a while back and things quartz movements as well as the tools used have evolved.

One place you might try contacting is http://Casker.com and ask if they have any resources or videos. This is the company that I used to purchase many of my quartz movements, parts and tools used for quartz watch repair back when these watches were part of my repair business.

Hi Mootaz,
most modern quartz clock movements are not made to be serviceable, so when they stop they are just replaced. Some of the early electro mechanical movements did have serviceable escapements but they were so varied it would be difficult to cover them all and to be honest there are not too many of them left which are still running.
Good quality quartz watches are serviceable and as Bob has already stated there are a few good books out there on servicing quartz watches but again, most “fashion” quartz watches have cheap non servicable movements in so again they are just replaced.
