Check out the Omega Speedmaster – especially the qualification tests. Impressive.

I love this watch and it’s on my short list. Once I have 3-6k lying around 🙄 I’d like to get one. I also love that most (all?) of the new ones have the co-axial escapement, which should add to its longevity.

          Tom,

This is the kind of beauty that gets me jazzed about watchmaking. I would love to crack into one of these, but I’d be extra careful to make sure I understood all the interrelations, movement of parts, and I’d be glad taking pictures no longer requires film, because I’d be photographing literally ever step to make sure I would get it right during reassembly.

          Breathtakingly beautiful.

          Tim :)
