does anyone know where i can get the tool to remove a split stem? or anything that I can use to remove one? Thanks

Hi Chaplin37,

Many people use regular hand removers. You can get one that’s made for both removing hands and split stems at http://www.ofrei.com/page671.html Scroll down the page until you get to the Bergeon #9 Hand remover.
Can also get some ideas on making your own remover from a previous thread on this forum at http://clockrepairtips.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=313&p=1411&hilit=split+stem+remover#p1411
