      Do European and American pocket watches use different screw standards? How to check, use a screw plate?

        Hi Jdross99,

        Yes they do differ in many cases.
        I use screw plates to determine thead sizes.
        I also use a comparison list that Ian Wright compiled that is available on his website as a pdf download. Also when you get there check out the watch he made if you haven’t already.
