      All:

      Not being able to find a burnisher for finishing off a rubbed-in jewel, I found one in “Master Watchmaking” by the now defunt Chicago School of Watchmaking. As Authra recommended in another post, you need the jewel opening and closing tools to do the work – or as David also posted, the work can be done in the lathe. However, based upon my efforts, you need a burnisher to finish the metal pulled in by the closing tool. So, here it is…
