Hi. I am hopeing someone can help me identify a regulator type clock i have just purchased, It has a typical American style movement with two loop end springs. It has the words Regulator A written on the glass door. The dial is made of tin and painted cream colour, Its about 23 inches long the dial which has Roman numerals is 8 inches across. The next question might sound a bit dumb could this be an American clock and how old might it be.

        Hi Townhallclock1947,
Might be able to help but would need more info on the clock to determine its origin. Any chance there’s a lable glued on the inside of the case or indentifying trade marks stamped on the movement? Can you possibly post some pics up here. If so, pics of the movement, dial and dial pan and of course the case might be helpful. If you have the movement out of the case then some good shots of the movement will definitely help.

        Thanks and Enjoy!
        Bob
