Perhaps you have seen this before. If not, its a very sad documentary about the poor girls who painted the old glow in the dark radium dials. The Atomic Regulatory Agency used the bodies of both the living and the dead to set minimum radiation exposure standards.
In the Westclox collectors book it says not to have too many of the old Westclox alarm clocks with radium painted hands together in the same room as it can raise the background radiation level.
