Platform balance wheel escapement

I have been asked to check a mantle clock that is not working. This is a Lauffer clock with a Westminster chime. It has platform balance wheel escapement. The problem turns out to be a broken off pivot on the balance wheel. I have tried to work but it is very hard. Time Savers nor Perrin have anything that will work or that I can adapt. Where can I go from here?

Yep, I accidentally broke the pivot wire, which is very thin and could not replace despite long efforts.

I would check Ebay and look for a replacement balance wheel, they do come up for sale on occasion.
