What could be the cause of the wobble

Hi Sabba_Clock,
You might check for a kink in the suspension spring. This will cause a wobble as can a loosely fitted suspension in the suspension block.

My first question would be did you replace the suspension spring? If not I would check the suspension post that holds the suspension spring and also the post that the spring goes thru. If either is loose it will cause wobble. Like Bob said check the suspension spring for kinks or small cracks. You may need a loupe to see them. A picture of the suspension unit with the spring in it would help.

Thanks for the advice. I made a close inspection of the suspension and there was indeed a 1 or 2 gentle bends in it. I smoothed them out with my fingers and the pendulum stopped wobbleing
