Pendulum "wiggles"

      I am servicing a Herschede electric wind pendulum clock. It’s running fine, but the pendulum “wiggles” as it swings. Any ideas how to fix it? Seems a waste of energy to me.

        Have you checked to see if the suspension spring is kinked?

          I did not notice signs of a kink, will check it more closely tomorrow.
          Since I posted the problem, I added a small scrap of paper to the rear of the slot in the adjustment mechanism.
          The pendulum is running smoother.
          I am thinking the slot may need to be tightened, but am not sure.
