I just cleaned this old Plymouth time and strike movement and now the “Counting Lever” stops at every notch on the count wheel regardless of the hour I only get one strike.  I’ve compared it to another WORKING properly movement but cannot see what’s wrong.  I don’t know if these pictures will help but here they are.

      HELP, it’s driving me crazy.

Try adjusting the counting lever. I have seen this on a few American clocks after cleaning and reassembly. I have had to adjust (bend) the lever so it either rides higher (stops every notch) or  lower (doesn’t stop at all) to get a proper adjustment for the strike. And once you get that set, check the centering on the lever blade on the deep notches. Again adjust (slightly bend) to achieve the blade centering on the slot. Hope this helps. -Mike
