      Hello all,

I have just started building my bench. I will be posting phase pictures as it gets built and as I add on features like drawers and shelving.
Frame is made from western red cedar, the top once I build it will be made of maple 3/4 plywood.

Just added the maple ply top and screw plugs for a nice flat surface.

Next i will be staining or just adding a clear coat for the ply top.

Nice going James, I was a cheap skate and opted for a large desk that someone was giving away, I can be a bit lazy and very cheap :) Yours is looking very nice, you just cant beat having something purpose built.
Good luck with it and keep us posted.
              Paul.

My lathe is DONE! got a replacement tailstock off ebay. it fits and is as centre as its getting.

Motor is kinda slow. only 1500 rpm. new one already on order with a foot pedal.
