Hi everyone. I am in the process of building a grandfather clock a new old stock Kieninger 83 K 110 movement. The hour shaft is 4.5mm OD. The center of the moon dial is where the crank for the time train is inserted. There is not that much distance between the moon dial drive gear and the hour shaft. Has anyone had any luck in finding the right drive gear to mount on the hour shaft? Any advice would be welcome…
Try Perrin in Canada. I have bought stuff from them for many clocks. They show a few different moon phase pinion gears. I’m sure if you ask them, they will get you taken care of. Pretty good customer service. Here’s a link to their website. Happy Hunting – Mike
