A company called Harvey Tool makes minature end mill cutters. They make them standard down to .001 inches in diameter. The ones I looked at had 1/8 of and inch diameter shanks.

Hi David, did you want this post moved over to the “New Mill” thread or to “Parts & Tool Suppliers” ?
Just wondering as it seems a bit lost all on its own :)

          Paul,
I posted this on its own to provide information to others who might be interested in using a milling machine to make small watch parts. The NEW MILL post has become so massive I did not want the information to be lost to those who do not want to wade through the numerious blogs. Most of the standard cutters available from industrial supply houses are too large for watch parts but the choice of cutters available from this supplier may open up a window of opportunity to those who are thinking of using machinery to make extremely small parts.

            Hi David,
I agree, it is a good link so I have copied it to “Suppliers” as well as leaving it here.
many thanks for posting it :)
            Paul.
