      Sounds good Bernie!
I will do that to. As soon as I make it over to my Wifes shop were my clock area is, I will clean parts
again, and they should come out shiny this time. I hate working at a separate job right now but that is
the way it goes I guess. But anyway, I will post pictures again if they come out clean, and if they do
then I can go on to the next step.
      Thanks, Richard

A brass wire brush is your friend on these old antique movements to get most of that gunk off. Sometimes I let it run in the US for 6 or 7 minutes then brass brush the parts and then in again for another 7 or 8 minutes. Don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t come out to sparkle and shine. Some just don’t. You could polish it to make it shiney but I don’t. To me it just doesn’t add anything to it. Like I said the main thing is the pivot holes are clean clean.

          Thanks, Bernie!
I will try maybe the brass brush to.
I will clean and see what it is looking like. I am just afraid that if I have to rebush some of the pivots
which I believe is going to happen that the brass bushings are going to be the only things shining! :D
I will give it a go and see what happens. I will let you know!
          Thanks again, Richard
