I come from a long line of clockmakers who all passed away before my time. My great grandfather John Spyker started Colonial Clock MFG in Zeeland around the turn of the century, We still have Colonial #1 in a safe place , I would love to apprentice from someone local and carry on the Spyker name in West Michigan. Any advise would be appreciated .

      Thanks in Advance,
      Brad

        Hello Brad,
When I started I also wanted to find a position as apprentice. I was surprised to find it so difficult to do and eventually gave up. Your family history should be a big positive though. My only advise would be to keep knocking on doors and try to get to know as many repairmen as possible. Maybe the word will get out via recommendations in the clock circles.

        Good luck,
        Dan
