      All:

I’m currently working on a Longines pocket watch and I need to replace the balance staff. Unfortunately, I can’t find the balance staff part number. Could anyone look up the staff part number based upon the movement serial number? The serial number is 5288880. There appears to be plenty of these available on eBay, but I just need the part number.

      Thanks,
      Tom

I don’t know the part number but here’s a great place to reference a bunch of staffs by caliber/model. etc.

If you click on the “more info” link..it gives all the dimensions.

          Randy:

That’s a big help. I looked in my old catalog for Longines watches but everything is listed by linges and there are multiple staffs for the one that I have.

          Thanks again!

            You’re welcome Tom.
Hopefully you still have the old staff and can cross reference the dimensions.
I just had to do this recently for my Ham PW that needed a new staff..and there were multiple sizes.

              Randy:

It’s still in the watch but I’m pretty sure that both pivots are broken as the balance is wobbling in the vertical and horizontal. Still, I should be able to get the dimensions as you say.

              Thanks again!
