I need help adjusting the chime train on this Jauch movement.  The chime train doesn’t always chime and when it does it will not finish until the next chime.

        Hi Paul,

I recently went thru the same thing on a Jauch. The way I ended up getting it to work was this…

Increase the chime weight to give it a little more horsepower. ( a handful of fishing sinkers will serve as a test weight) I added a lead piece into the sleeve ( I think about a lb or so). It was enough to get it to trigger repeatably. Then there was the issue with the lever that rides on the chime select cog. (sorry I don’t know the correct terminology, but it is the lever that drops into the cog on the front with the 4 notches to select how long the chime runs). I ended up offsetting the cog so when the clock goes into warn, the lever is almost out of the notch. I found that there is only a 90 degree warn on this clock (not adjustable) and it was not enough to get the lever past the notch. So even though the clock went into warn, the lever dropped right back into the same notch stopping the chime. Watch the front of the clock when it goes to chime and I bet you’ll see the same thing. Anyway that was my workaround to a design defect. Good luck Paul!

        Mike
