I had the opportunity to walk though the AWCI watch museum the other day and I “Think” I seen a tool called
“hairspring entangle” ??? Is,are was there such a tool? I’m thinking it is a tool that helps you untangle hair springs??
I went on ebay and seen a tool called ” hairspring vibrator” . it looked very similar .. Am I seeing things?
Thank you, Phil (watchdogg)March 9, 2013 at 8:52 pm #53060Watchdog,
Steffan pahlow has a video on Youtube where he replaces a hairspring with an overcoil. He uses a HAIRSPRING VIBRATOR to determine the coil termination. If you go to that site and watch it you can see the tool in use.

Go to Ebay and pull up item .March 20, 2013 at 1:36 am #53063These are beautiful tools but you are only limited to that one beat, with a modern watch timing machine it covers just about anything and its a good deal cheaper too, and can be used on clocks.
