I found a series of videos on youtube on making a clock which I thought everyone would find interesting as they are very well put together.
He makes it look so easy. He is posting one video a week and there is plenty more to go before we get to see the completed clock.

Thanks for posting your find. The guy does excellent work. His planing and setups are well thought out before cutting the metal and in my view that is the key to end up with good parts.
davidApril 3, 2015 at 9:19 pm #62441Steve,
Perplxr videos are from the watch school in Lititz Pennsylvania. They have a lot of great stuff and cover many areas about watches that aren’t covered by other sources. The guys doing those videos are the instructors. They know their stuff but all of them seem to have the personality of a fire hydrant. I don’t know how the students at that school can stay awake during class.
davidApril 3, 2015 at 10:36 pm #62433I agree, the videos are tough to watch, but I have found a couple that I had “AH HA!” moments with… LOL
April 4, 2015 at 6:28 am #62442William it is Clocksmiths. The gentleman that makes movements name is David Lindow. He makes some really nice movements but they are not cheap. Here is his webpage. http://www.lindowclockmaker.com/
Here is the site for clocksmiths. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/clocksmiths/info
I also belong to NAWCC which I enjoy their forum on clock and watch repair.
July 15, 2015 at 1:32 pm #62443Is it just me, or is everyone still watching the clickspring videos. I find these videos really inspiring. I hope that someday I can do work like this.
