The Webster should handle all mainsprings except the big ones like in a Sonora chime clock. I have Ollie Baker mainspring winder. It is the same as the Ollie Baker style. To me it is a lot safer, more stable and handles all mainsprings IMHO. I have had/used and sold the Webster winder as I just wasn’t satisfied with the way it handled some springs. IMHO just wasn’t stable with some of them especially bigger hole end. It looks like on the newer Webster they tried to make some changes to make it more stable for barrel enclosed mainsprings. Just my 2 cents worth.
