I have a 1050-020 movement that finally works thanks to the Hermle course, associated videos’ and a lot of patience.   I’ve got the movement set up and have the chime installed but when I put the movement in the case the hammers are 3/4″ above the chime rods.  I’ve adjusted hammers on other movements before but not this far.  Do I bend the hammer’s or move the chime block up?  Thanks, Larry

        Hi Larry,

I recently installed a Hermle movement into an empty, lonely case that I had in the shop, and ran into the same situation. I decided that it would be much easier to just put a thicker wooden spacer under the chime block instead of bending and adjusting all 8 hammers. Worked perfectly!

        Hope this helps,

        Vern

Thanks, I think I will do the same.
