I am restoring a ST 124 chime movement. After reading Conover’s books (Chime Clock Repair & Striking Clock Repair Guide), it is running but I notice a little stutter with the rack as it is moved by the gathering pallet. I suspect that the GP needs to be tweaked a bit so that the pin engages the rack more precisely. I understand that the GP is a friction fit onto its arbor. How exactly is it adjusted without taking pliers and scratching either the cam or the arbor or grasping the two pins and run the risk of bending them? Thanks in advance for any tips and ideas! Bill
