I would like to put an 18S pocket watch movement into a double glass display case. I don’t have as yet a specific movement or case. Are the display cases generally adaptable to different movements or are there things to watch out for?

Make sure the notch for the lever is in the right place (assuming it’s a lever set movement).

          Will do.

What about the sleeve and winding arbor?

The diameter of the movement you want to fit is pretty critical but also the thickness needs to be checked, no amount of hitting it with a rubber mallet will make a movement that is too thick fit in a slim case :(
Until you have the display case or movement(unless you can get its dimensions before you buy it) it is a little difficult to know what will and wont fit.

              Thanks Paul, makes sense.
