A little help from you Elgin guys out there. As I removed the MS barrel a little lever popped off its post and I’m not sure how it was supposed to go. I must be missing something. It doesn’t seem to do anything in the position i thought it should be in. See Picture 1. Picture 2 shows it off the post. Anyone have a picture of how this is supposed to go? I have never worked on an Elgin before and am unfamiliar with the disassembly and reassembly procedures.
Never mind, I figured out why it didn’t look right. I had the gear missing that goes under the barrel. See picture. It must have popped out when I removed the barrel. I swept the floor and found it. Hopefully the rest of the disassembly will go without incident. Ha, that will be the day. If anyone out there knows of something I should look out for I’d appreciate a heads up.
