      Hi All,
      Does anyone know if a lorch boley 8mm collet will fit an 8mm star lathe?

        Brian,
        I saw the STAR LATHE for sale at COUSINS UK so I guess they are still made. Does COUSINS carry accessories for the STAR? I don’t have a STAR but I have a few BOLEY’S and they take regular STARRET 8MM collets. You can also purchase 8mm WW collets from SHERLINE. They used to carry STARRET but now they either have another supplier or they make their own.

          Hi Brian,
          the main thing to look for with the different makes of 8mm collets is the length, some are quite short and some are quite long, as long as you are buying a few then it is not a massive issue to knock up a new draw bar.

            Brian,
            I just looked at the COUSINS web page and the STAR LATHE they have for sale comes with “5 American collets”. I do not know if STARRETT still manufactures these items anymore or not but SHERLINE does.
