I made these the other day to hold clock plates and they work great. I used a small hardinge lathe and Bridgeport lots of fun.

            Hi Kevin,
Nice job on the plate stands. Have you made any other clock tools?

                Thanks Everyone,
Ren I posted some pictures of a mainspring winder I made in the shop pics page. I’m in the process of finishing it with a reversible click. I just finished a pivot polisher I made using a rc car motor and o rings for a drive belt. I ordered a toggle switch and a variable speed controller for it. Lastly I purchased a led light transformer that goes from 110v ac to 12v dc to power it. I think you guys will like it I get my inspiration from everyone on here. Pictures will follow this week.

                Thanks kevin

                  Ahhh, you’re that Kevin.
Great job on the winder. I popped one out in poplar. It works like a dream.
I’ll tell you, most of my horology making has been in making some of my tools. I really love tinkering and making tools I can use rather than buying them used or from some manufacturer.
Keep up the great work and post your photos, sure as all heck, I’ll appreciate it!! :D

I am interested in that RC Motor pivot polisher… I have about twenty of those critters gathering dust.
