Donald De Carle has this book

It deal with some of the complications in watches, calendars and auto winders among others

De Carle’s book is indeed very good in explaining different complications. There is not that much on troubleshooting but most calendar mechanisms (except perpetual calendar) are not extremely complicated. The book is really worth having if you are interested in automatics, calendars etc…
