I’ve been toying with the idea of adding something like this to my exsiting bench for armrests.

I have also been thinking about building another bench but would like to carve wooden arm rests that fit the dimensions and contours of my arms. I’m not sure how practical that would be but it would be fun making them and would look good. It seems that they would be more stable than the cushioned arm rests which I think I would prefer since I have always used the ridid surface of my watch bench top, wood frame around my catch or edge of the opened drawer to rest my arms or elbows on.
