      Ok, I am looking for reference sources for balance staffs, or does one even exist? A reference where I can look up a watch and get the dimensions to make my own balance staff.

      as of this point, I have not done much research on it, but I am going to start and would any appreciate any suggestions on where to look.

        Would that be for pocket or wrist watches?
        For wristwatches there is http://www.balancestaffs.com, which has some information.

            Steve, look for a booklet called, “American pocket and wrist watch balance staff interchangeability list”, by George Townsend.
