Bob:
Here are two shots through the observation holes under power – banking pin left and right.

So … what’s next?
Thanks!
TomJuly 10, 2014 at 7:49 am #58372Hey Tom sorry to hear about the staff pivot.
These adjustments and pics should be done without the balance in place. If in beat the balance will not allow the stones and escape teeth to display full depth as the roller jewel will pull the lever to line of centers between balance and escape wheel drawing the stone out of the full lock position. Those pics are perfect but…are they pics of the watch you’re working on or the other watch that you spoke of? No need to put pics of the other watch. We need to see the locking depth of the watch you are working on so we can make the appropriate adjustments if necessary. Not sure which watch this one is but if it’s the other one then good for comparison purposes.
I was traveling all day yesterday and at the Calif. location now for a few days so may be a little late with responses.

This is a different watch. However, if the balance doesn’t need to be in place then I can certainly post pictures of the fist watch. Additionally, I ordered another balance staff yesterday so eventually (maybe) I’ll be able to complete the adjustments. Look for the pics later.
Thanks,

Adios for now,
BobJuly 20, 2014 at 2:42 pm #58375Bob, et. al…
I just realized that without the lever screw and setting lever, I won’t be able to put power to the movement and consequently, I can’t do the close up shots that you asked for (under power). I found the screw but I’m still looking for the level plate. When I finally get those in, I’ll be able to pick this thread up with the jewel close ups.
Just a heads up…
Thanks,
TomJuly 20, 2014 at 10:10 pm #58376Tom, this business can become expensive, frustrating and a cause of many strange & weird dreams, but hey, we love it, don’t we, don’t we 😆
