6mm or 8mm lathe

      Hi. I am new to lathes .Which lathe is best for watch work. Looking at getting information on which size lathe to buy. A 6mm or 8mm for making  watch parts. At the moment I am only working on Nh35 or some vintage  watch movements .

        Hey Ben,

        I have a 6mm lathe…but if I were to do it again I would head for an 8mm.

        Especially in the case of older lathes,…you will find more parts availability/options from what I’ve found
