      Well I have cleaned up the main work bench inside, now time for the outside gear. To start wth the cleaning of the lathe. It’s a Derbyshire. Note on the top of the motor is a stand which use to house the engraving attachment. I have set the magnifying lens to it and is a treat. Now to the rest of the mess.

        That looks like a belt drive dental motor. The arm containing the pulleys and hand piece would fit into the bracket. Those are great hand tools for delicate precision grinding. If you don’t already have the arm assembly you might be able to find one on Ebay for a reasonable price. That is a good high quality motor and lathe.

            Looks like you have your work cut out for you, but, this is enjoyable work, especially when it’s all done and everything is nice and shiny clean 8-)

              Is that a 10mm Derbyshire Magnus Lathe? It looks like it from the picture.
