the jacot tool is driven with a small bow, I have however seen them driven by a small lathe motor but Ithink a bow is the better way to go when starting out. You can get burnishers/pivot files combined. The jacot tool is used just for polishing watch pivots so the smaller the burnisher the better. There are left and right handed burnishers, I am pretty sure Bob explains their use and what to look for in his videos. A needle file is not to be used on watch pivots as they remove too much material, its got to be a pivot file with very fine teeth.
