Enco has a suitable Swiss style dovetail mount indicator that will work well for this purpose. It is currently on sale for $36.95 and the model number is #PW606-4710. It has a .030 range and the dial is marked 0-15-0 in .0005 graduations. They also have an on-off dial indicator base for $19.95 also on sale. The model number of the base is #PW505-1848. This type of indicator is suitable for many tasks that involve alignment and centering.
