Yes! These items are in great demand so there will be a lot of other bidders trying to buy it. The best technique I have found so far is to calculate the maximum amount I will pay for an item and hit the bid button with this amount in the last 6 or 7 seconds of bidding. Sometimes even that will lose the bid. If you are not familar with this bidding process practice on a couple of cheap items first to get the hang of it.
