Hi Arutha,and Willofium,Thanks for the suggestions on the bent pivot.I am not in possession of a lathe so I think the best idea is to try and bend it cold.I like the idea of the two metal blocks,I presume you would roll the pivot between these and this will show the wobble at the other end of the arbour slowly bending the pivot until this wobble is reduced to zero?Anyway I’ll give it a try and thanks once again for the suggestions Alan.
